The case against 42-year-old Erick Nimsey — accused of repeatedly stabbing his father during a chilling 911 call — went before Oklahoma County District Judge Perry Hudson on Tuesday for a competency review.

The hearing gave the judge a chance to review reports from the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, where Nimsey is undergoing evaluation to determine if he is competent to stand trial and to set his next court date.

The 911 Call and Attack

On May 26, prosecutors say Nimsey called 911 and forced a dispatcher into a horrifying ultimatum—demanding the dispatcher identify where to stab his father next.

“You want left or right foot? Which one do you want, dispatcher?” Nimsey asked on the recorded emergency line. “Say left or right, and this will be on you.”
