The Jackson County Sheriff's Office arrested a man who they say had a mixture of fentanyl and methamphetamine. He faces charges of drug trafficking.
Deputies arrested 33-year-old Justin Mitchell Gamble of Stevenson, Alabama.
Authorities stopped a car on Jacobs Avenue in Bridgeport for a traffic violation, and Gamble was a passenger in that vehicle.
They determined that Gamble had outstanding warrants from Stevenson and Scottsboro.
Deputies then detained Gamble on those warrants, which is when they found drugs in his possession.
The sheriff's office said he tried to get rid of the drugs in the ditch next to the car.
Deputies said they found 14.9 grams of a meth and fentanyl mixture, Adderall and scales.
