CM Mann: “Amit Shah called Rs 1,600 ‘Token Money’, promised more aid for Punjab”; Watch Video

New Delhi, September 30, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured him of greater central assistance for flood relief in Punjab. During their 25-minute meeting in Delhi, Shah described the earlier grant of ₹1,600 crore as merely “token money”, promising that more funds will follow.

Addressing the media after the meeting, CM Mann said he presented a detailed account of Punjab’s flood devastation, to which the Home Minister responded positively and pledged all possible support from the Centre.
