US President Donald Trump on Tuesday set out a deadline of 3-4 days for Hamas to accept the White House’s 20-point Gaza peace plan, warning the Palestinian militant outfit of a “very sad end” if it did not agree to the terms.

“Hamas is either going to be doing it or not, and if it’s not, it’s going to be a very sad end,” he said, adding, “we’re just waiting for Hamas”.

Hamas has not yet responded to the White House peace plan for Gaza but according to Qatar, the group is studying it.

Trump, who was speaking to reporters at the White House, said that if Hamas rejects the deal, he will allow Israel to “do what they have to do, and they could do it pretty easily”.
