Shillong, Sept 30: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has assured to examine the demand of the agitating adhoc teachers under the banner of the Federation of Adhoc School Teachers of Meghalaya (FASTOM), who have been staging their indefinite sit-in-demonstration for the past nine days, demanding upgrading of adhoc schools to deficit system.
Speaking to reporters today, Sangma clarified that the issue of adhoc teachers is distinct from other groups, as they receive their salaries on time, albeit with occasional delays. The primary concern of adhoc teachers is the enhancement of their salary package.
The government is examining this demand, considering its broader implications on other teacher groups, such as SSA and adhoc school teachers.
