SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — The Sun Prairie Area School District announced on Tuesday that its newest member of the school district's board of education has been appointed.

Danny Miller, who holds a Ph.D. from UW-Madison in curriculum and instruction with a focus on literacy, is set to serve through the spring 2026 election, bringing a strong background in education. Miller is currently working as a teacher educator at UW-Madison and previously served as a high school English teacher for 10 years before relocating to Madison.

"The Board is excited to welcome Dr. Miller’s perspective and is thankful for the strong partnership of staff, families, and our community as we work together to help our students thrive," SPASD wrote in a statement.

He will be replacing Katey Kamoku, who recently resigned
