Dolly Parton is reportedly not planning to attend the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’s 16th Governors Awards, which is happening in November.

Back in June, it was announced that the 79-year-old icon would be receiving the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her philanthropy work.

Now, THR is reporting that she will not be attending the November 16 event in Hollywood due to “health challenges.”

Dolly just recently was forced to cancel her Las Vegas residency dates , telling her fans, “I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.” She was originally slated to perform a series of shows in December 2025 at The Colosseum at Caesars.
