SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Burglars failed to steal an ATM from a popular Springfield restaurant. However, the damage could potentially close the restaurant for days.
The burglars struck The Sub Shop on Tuesday at approximately 3:05 a.m., located at the corner of Glenstone and Seminole. The owner stated that someone had attempted to throw a brick through the window. When the glass did not break. The thieves then used their truck and pulled down the wall. However, they were unable to retrieve the ATM.
This is the second time someone has tried to steal the cash machine from the restaurant in the last two years.
