CAMPAIGN 2026: Alabama’s U.S. Senate race may get another candidate, one who is familiar to those who follow sports on TV or radio.
Sports commentator Paul Finebaum is said to be seriously considering getting into the race. He’s known for his work on ESPN, the SEC Network and before that, on radio stations in Birmingham. He also wrote a column for the Birmingham Post-Herald .
Finebaum told Outkick’s Clay Travis that since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, he’s been rethinking his priorities.
He says if President Trump asks him to run, he’ll do it, running as a Republican.
Finebaum is 70 years old, a native of Memphis, T
