UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — Local musician Rob Cole was picked to join Michael Bublé’s team during auditions for Season 28 of “The Voice,” a singing competition show on NBC, in an episode that aired Monday.
The episode is now available to stream on Peacock.
Cole, from Pembroke, sang Chris Stapleton’s love song “Joy of My Life” during the blind audition, in which the coaches — Bublé, Reba McEntire, Niall Horan and Snoop Dogg — have their back to the artist but press a button to turn their chair towards the stage if they want the artist to join their team. Bublé and McEntire both turned during Cole’s song, but Bublé used a “block” to allow Cole to join his team and prevent him from joining McEntire’s.
