Nine migrant labourers from northern states lost their lives in a tragic accident at the Ennore Thermal Power Plant in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday. The accident occurred during construction activities at the North Chennai Thermal Power Station, trapping several workers under the collapsed structure.

According to police officials, four workers died on the spot, while five others succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to Stanley Government Hospital in Chennai. Several others sustained grievous injuries and remain in critical condition under intensive medical care.
