GRAND BLANC TWP, MI – In the two days since a church shooting left four people dead and eight others injured Sunday morning, Sept. 28, in Genesee County, the phrase “Grand Blanc Strong” has emerged.

And in the wake of that tragic shooting and fire at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4285 McCandlish Road, local organizations are rallying to provide support for those affected in the community.

A Family Assistance Center has been set up to offer support to those who were impacted by the shooting at Genesys Banquet and Conference Center, 805 Health Park Blvd. in Grand Blanc.

Resources specializing in victim advocacy, counseling and emotional support and referral services will be stationed there from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday, Sept. 30, to Friday, Oct. 3. Additional hours
