BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good afternoon!

Today: We’re sitting in between two systems right now, with high pressure to our west and lower pressure off the east Coast. That setup could allow just enough moisture to sneak in for a few light, isolated showers, especially across northeast and east Alabama.

Most of us will likely stay dry, and any activity that pops up should fade out by this evening.

Highs will likely top out close to 87.

The Next 24 Hours: Overnight, drier air will begin working in from the east as high pressure builds, helping shut down shower chances. Temperatures should dip into the mid to upper 60s tonight.

Wednesday: High pressure is expected to take over more firmly, which means plenty of sunshine and dry weather.

Highs should be near 86.
