(KRON) -- Police in Oakland are asking for the community's assistance in finding a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for more than a week.

Amarie Woods, 15, is described by authorities as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Woods has been missing since Sept. 19, when she was seen at 9:35 a.m. in the 4300 block of Tompkins Avenue, the Oakland Police Department said Tuesday morning. In an update just before noon, police said a witness came forward and told authorities that they spotted her on Sept. 27 in the 1600 block of International Boulevard.

The 15-year-old was wearing a silver sweater and multi-colored socks at the time she went missing on the 19th, according to OPD.
