MARSHALL, Texas (KSLA) - A man has been arrested by the Marshall Police Department’s Special Response Team in connection to the sexual assault of a child.

Warrants were issued for 23-year-old Florencio Scott Sauceda II for sexual assault of a child and continuous violence against family.

On Friday, Sept. 26, Sauceda was found in Diana. He had reportedly barricaded himself inside a home. The SRT responded to the scene and successfully arrested him.

“Individuals who commit violent crimes and then attempt to evade justice will be pursued and held accountable,” said Chief Cliff Carruth. “This case highlights the importance of strong partnerships with our neighboring law enforcement agencies and our shared commitment to protecting the public.”
