Oster issued the recall on Sept. 25 for about 1,290,000 of its French Door Countertop Ovens, of which roughly 104,195 were sold in Canada, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The spring-loaded doors of the recalled ovens can unexpectedly close, potentially burning consumers.

As of Sept. 25, Oster had received 95 reports of the oven doors unexpectedly closing, resulting in burn injuries. Two of these reports included second-degree burns, according to the CPSC.

What Oster French Door Countertop Ovens were recalled?

The recalled Oster French Door Countertop Ovens have the model numbers TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDG, TSSTTVFDMAF and TSSTTVFDDAF, according to the CPSC. The model number is printed on a label on the back of the oven and the oven's original packaging.
