The state is offering a new free online tool to check the risks your home or business faces from flooding, wildfires and more and it's intended to help you understand your needs for insurance.
The governor’s office said Connecticut is the first state to make this mapping tool available to all its residents.

The Connecticut Insurance Department and First Street, which provides physical climate risk data and analytics, are partnering to offer the mapping tool.

How it works
To use it, enter your address and it will show you your property’s exposure to climate-related risks such as flooding, wildfire, hurricane winds, extreme heat and air quality, according to the governor’s office.
