A private autopsy report still has not yet been released to the public in the hanging death of De'Martravion "Trey" Reed , 21.

The Grenada man was found dead early Sept. 15 on the Delta State University campus in Cleveland, Mississippi. The young Black man was a student.

Investigators initially ruled his death a suicide. An autopsy report from the state confirmed the finding.

Reed's family, however, has doubts and is pursuing a second autopsy and carrying out a private investigation .

"This grieving family deserves answers," attorney Ben Crump said in a Facebook post Monday, Sept. 29.
