SPOKANE, Wash. — The two men shot and killed near Chase Middle School on Spokane's South Hill last week have been identified.

According to the Spokane County Medical Examiner, 37-year-old Terrance Wallette and 20-year-old Emilio Vazquez died from multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday, September 24.

The medical examiner added that the manner of both Wallette's and Vazquez's death was a homicide.

A third person is also reportedly still in the hospital in critical condition.

According to the Spokane Police Department, the shooting happened at East 34th Avenue near Chase Middle School Wednesday night. SPD said arriving officers found two of the men dead, and the third man "appeared to have sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds."
