SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - YWCA North Central Indiana is honoring Notre Dame head women’s basketball coach Niele Ivey later this week.

She is being named the Woman of the Year award at the group’s tribute dinner and auction on Thursday.

The proceeds support essential programs for women and children.

The YWCA is a national organization centered around empowering women and fostering peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people.

The tribute dinner will be held at the Armory Event Center (727 S. Eddy Street, South Bend). The cost to register is $150 per person. Sponsorships for tables of eight start at $1,500.
