Saiyaara director Mohit Suri has spilled the beans on the performances of newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. He shared how even the crew was not prepared for the scene where Aneet’s Vaani Batra breaks down seeing his ex-fiance.

“Even the cast wasn’t prepared to see Aneet in this scene," Mohit Suri commented, speaking of the intensity and realism with which Aneet acted for the film. The director’s honest take has received much love and praise from fans.

Netflix shared a short clip from the interview on Instagram, providing behind-the-scenes insight into the director’s comments on the performances. Pointing at one of the scenes of the movie, Suri said, “Ye scene bhot special hai mere liye then continued to describe the whole scene."
