Deadline’s virtual fall screening series For the Love of Docs kicks off its sixth season tonight with Antidote , the documentary thriller about Christo Grosev, the investigative journalist pursued around the world by the Kremlin.
James Jones directed the Oscar-contending film that’s won awards at festivals from the Hague to Tribeca. We at Deadline see this series as something of an antidote for a documentary field ailed by shrinking distribution options – not to mention the Trump administration’s drive to defund PBS .
