Livingston are looking to pull off an ambitious bid to sign former Dutch international Joshua Brenet. ‌

Davie Martindale has lined up a move for the experienced right-back. ‌

Brenet is a free agent after leaving Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC. ‌

The 31-year-old has already arrived in Scotland and a deal is subject to a work visa being issued.

Brenet has two Dutch caps, which he won back in 2016, but for the last two years has switched his international allegiance to Curacao, where he is coached by former Rangers boss Dick Advocaat.

Brenet has 11 caps for the Caribbean island and has scored 1 goal. ‌

Curacao are also in with a real chance of making the World Cup finals.

They are top of their qualifying group with maximum points from their first four games.
