U.S. President Donald Trump is not exactly known for bringing people together. But his Gaza peace plan , unveiled on Monday, has been praised by virtually everyone, save the extremists. Which means he must have got something right.

The proposal, which was formally accepted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a joint press conference with Trump at the White House on Monday, sets out a broad framework for ending the war and administering Gaza the “day after” — two things Israel’s premier has steadfastly refused to do for nearly two years since the October 7 massacre.
