The Los Angeles Angels will have a new skipper in 2026.

Manager Ron Washington will not return next season after the team declined to pick up his option, Sam Blum of The Athletic reported on Tuesday.

Washington left the team in June after undergoing quadruple bypass heart surgery and did not come back.

Meanwhile, bench coach Ray Montgomery, who was interim manager, was also let go, per Blum.

The Angels missed the playoffs after finishing last in the AL West at 72-90.
