Dr. Richard Miller is back. Scott Wolf is set to return to Fox’s “ Doc ” during Season 2 for a multi-episode guest arc, beginning later this season. Additionally, he will direct an episode in early 2026.

“We always knew when Richard got fired that would never be the last of him. But no one expected him to come back to Westside like this — least of all Amy,” co-showrunners and executive producers Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg said in a statement on Tuesday.

Wolf appeared in all 10 episodes of the first season as a series regular. His character was fired from the hospital in the season finale after it was revealed he made a critical mistake during a code blue, resulting in the death of a patient, and blamed the incident on Amy (Molly Parker) after her accident.
