Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton faces backlash after claiming that white men of a "certain religion" were partly responsible for spreading "evil" in the United States during an appearance on MSNBC 's Morning Joe last week.
“The idea that you could turn the clock back and try to recreate a world that never was dominated by, you know, let’s say it: white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view, a certain ideology, it’s just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for,” Clinton said. “We were on the path to that … We were on the right trajectory.”
The comments caught the ire of several conservatives on social media, specifically given the timing after the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Ki
