SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- University of San Diego Finance Professor Dab Roccato joins Good Morning San Diego to discuss the looming effects of a Government shutdown.

Roccato answers burning questions regarding the shutdown, including who will be paid and who will not.

The Professor says that at the end of the day, if there is a shutdown, it will be temporary. He also explains that at some point, both sides will come to an agreement, and the Government will come back to work and pay off those employees who were not laid off.

Roccato also explained that active-duty military personnel can become pawns in the shutdown, as their essential jobs may not be paid on time.
