There is a moderate chance of strong winds along the Oregon coast Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, and a mild chance of such winds in the Willamette Valley, according to the National Weather Service .

Simultaneously, western Lane and Douglas counties are under an air quality advisory that's in effect until 8 p.m. Sept. 30, due to smoke from the Moon Complex fire , and there's a chance for thunderstorms.
