Prosper officials are set to add 19 new Flock license plate cameras and additional materials to the town's public safety infrastructure following council approval.
At their Sept. 23 meeting, Prosper Town Council members approved an agreement with Flock Safety to purchase a variety of technology materials for Prosper’s police department.
What you need to know
Prosper’s police department first started using Flock cameras in 2023, and cameras have been installed at major shopping centers, intersections and thoroughfares throughout the town.
The new equipment will be used to help Prosper’s police department prevent and respond to vehicle-related crimes, such as catalytic converter and general theft incidents, according to town documents .
