New Delhi: India’ star javelin star Sumit Antil claimed his third successive gold medal of the World Para Athletics Championships in the national capital after clinching the F64 class title on Tuesday. Antil earned the prestigious gold medal with a winning throw of 71.37 metres which came in his fifth attempt.
By virtue of his throw, he broke his own championships record of 70.83m which he set in the 2023 edition. Apart from earning the gold two years back, he continued his remarkable run in 2024 as well making the country proud by winning a gold medal. The 27-year-old para-athlete also has two Paralympics gold medals bagged in the 2021 Tokyo and 2024 Paris.
