An Austin-area man is in custody, accused of capital murder in the deaths of an 8-year-old girl and two adults who recently moved to Central Texas from Mansfield.

Georgetown Police said Tuesday that 26-year-old Raul Franco Jr is facing a charge of capital murder of multiple persons in connection with the deaths of 34-year-old Alonzo Hawkins, 39-year-old Doneisha Brooks and her 8-year-old daughter, Olivia Brooks.

Relatives previously told KXAN the three had recently moved to Georgetown for a fresh start. When they did not hear from them over the weekend, a family friend went to do a welfare check and made the gruesome discovery. Police said all three had been shot multiple times, including the child lovingly nicknamed “Froggy.”
