QUINCY, Mass. —
A Braintree, Massachusetts, man faced a series of charges in court Tuesday, accused of fleeing a crash, pushing a child out of his car and striking a Quincy police officer with his vehicle while fleeing.
Quincy police said the incident started at the Wendy's on Southern Artery at about 7:10 p.m. Monday when a black sedan fled a crash with another vehicle. Police located the vehicle and tried to make a traffic stop a short time later near the intersection of Southern Artery and Washington Street.
"At this time, (the reporting officer) exited my fully marked police cruiser, wearing a full police uniform, with my firearm drawn. As I initiated a felony stop, I observed a juvenile male sitting in the passenger seat," a Quincy officer wrote in a police report.
