CLEVELAND, Ohio - Two Cleveland men were arrested during an incident that triggered a wide-scale police search in Westlake and resulted in the seizure of four guns.

The arrests occurred after Westlake police officers on patrol spotted three men dressed in all black with gloves and masks walking along the 27000 block of Hilliard Boulevard at about 3:45 a.m. Saturday, according to Westlake police.

In a statement released by Westlake police, officials noted that “neighboring cities recently had armed men prowling through citizens’ cars, including an incident earlier that morning.”

When officers approached the group, two men ran, while a 19-year-old man surrendered. The man was carrying a handgun and had outstanding felony warrants that accused him of vehicle theft from the Cuyahoga County
