CLINTON, Ill. (WCIA) -- A combine and field fire injured one and left almost 200 people without power Tuesday afternoon in Clinton.

At approximately 12:02 p.m., Clinton firefighters were dispatched to the area of Reagan Road and U.S. Highway 54 for a combine and field fire. Firefighters arriving on the scene found a fire in a bean crop and a combine fully engulfed under power lines.

A power company was called to the scene right away to de-energize these power lines, leaving 180 people without power. This fire was quickly brought under control with suppression lines.

One person was injured as a result of the fire but has already been released from the hospital. Both the Wapella and Maroa Fire Departments helped Clinton on the scene, and assistance was also provided by the DeWitt County S
