INGTON, Ky. — October in Lexington means the return of horse racing at Keeneland. The racetrack’s annual fall meet begins Friday, Oct. 3 and runs through Oct. 25.
All is quiet now, but come Friday, the roar of horses down the track and excitement of the crowd will return to Keeneland for opening day of its 17-day Fall Meet.
“We have several graded stakes races, including Grade 1 races, and this is really laying the groundwork for some of these horses that will be participating in a few weeks’ time at the Breeders' Cup,” said director of communications, Gabby Gaudet.
