MISSOULA — Montana Griz safety Kade Boyd entered this season with just three games on his collegiate resume.

A former walk-on, the Billings Central alum redshirted in 2023 and reached the field on just three occasions in 2024 (Weber State, Eastern Washington, Morehead State). He logged three total tackles.

Through one month of football in 2025, Boyd has logged at least one solo tackle in each of Montana's four wins. He hauled in his first career interception in the season opener against Central Washington, snagging a Kyon-Loud-forced deflection out of the end zone and running up to the 25-yard line. He was credited for a QB hurry against North Dakota that led to a Peyton Wing interception.
