Great British Bake Off fans have mixed response to shake-up that is show 'first' View 4 Images

Great British Bake Off viewers had a mixed response as the judges introduced a twist to a challenge in a programme "first".

Tuesday's (September 30) episode of the Channel 4 baking programme saw judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith present an entirely new type of Technical challenge during Chocolate Week. Contestants are typically provided with a basic recipe and set ingredients, with the final creation assessed anonymously.

However, in this latest episode of the show , they were confronted with a Bake Off pantry and instructed to select their own ingredients within just five minutes. The catch was that they were then required to use whatever they had chosen.
