Officials with Saint Francis Hospital celebrated their recognition as a top trauma care provider with a live trauma drill on Tuesday, while reiterating why the recognition is so important.

"The achievement of obtaining verified Level 1 trauma status at this hospital just means that when you are injured, you can rest assured that you will be cared for by the absolute best professionals who are practicing the standard of care, the best practices of care," Dr. Cliff Robertson, president and CEO of Saint Francis Health System, said at a news conference Tuesday at the hospital.
