PAGELAND, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Chesterfield County judge has denied bond for four adults charged in the death of 9-year-old Brody Langley, who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a gas station in Pageland early Sunday morning.

Two parents, Raven Deese and James Langley, appeared in court on Tuesday, with their hands and feet shackled.

They’re both facing 12 charges each, including homicide by child abuse in the death of their son, Brody.

Deputies say a fight captured on surveillance video at the Blue Sky Mart in Pageland on Sunday between teenagers, possibly over a girl, ended with Brody being shot and killed.

Brody’s grandmother, Angela Langley, is James Langley’s mother.
