SEATTLE — Detectives have completed their investigation into a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred in June on westbound Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A 66-year-old Bellevue man was killed after he was struck near his disabled vehicle on the freeway. Investigators said the driver who hit him abandoned his own vehicle after it broke down and then allegedly tried to carjack another car before being detained by responding officers.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office confirmed Tuesday that senior prosecutors are reviewing the case, which has now been formally submitted by state patrol investigators. Officials said there is no set timeline for when a charging decision will be made.
