Billy Ryan shaped the tradition and set the standard for BC High boys soccer during his 32-year run at the helm of the Eagles.
But with the Hall of Fame coach, who recorded over 300 career victories and 11 Catholic Conference titles during his tenure, retiring following last season, it was up to Mark Whitehouse to carry on that success.
Whitehouse was no stranger to the program, having served various roles on Ryan’s staff since 2011. But Whitehouse brings a different background to the Eagles, one that was cultivated on a different continent. Whitehouse grew up in Preston, England, about 40 minutes north of Manchester and Liverpool.
