COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s punt return unit has been shaky at times this season, and it came to a head Saturday at Washington when Brandon Inniss cost his team a possession with a fumble.

However, the Buckeyes aren’t rushing to make changes.

It seems Inniss will remain the top punt returner with coach Ryan Day noting the successes that have surrounded the blunders on special teams.

“If Brandon didn’t fumble that ball, I don’t think anybody would be asking if he was the right guy back there,” Day said Tuesday. “He needs to hang on to the ball because he’s had two good returns here the last two games, and that’s the bottom line. We’re going to count on him getting that fixed.”
