GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- It’s not unusual to see nearly a couple of dozen people chatting near a craft brew pub.
But what’s happening on a Friday evening outside of Joymonger’s Brewery in Greensboro is not your normal get-together.
“Ready, set, friend!” shouted the lady in the Greensboro Parks and Recreation shirt. Well, that’s an unusual prompt.
This is another session of what the Parks and Recreation Department calls speed Friending. Yes, it’s inspired by those speed dating events you’ve seen where people who don’t know each other try to change that five minutes at a time.
