GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — A North Carolina state board has provided new information regarding the death of a toddler at a Greensboro dental office.
On Tuesday, the investigative panel of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners announced that it had concluded an investigation into Valleygate Dental Surgery Center in Greensboro and the July 17 death of 2-year-old Er'mias Mitchell.
According to the board, the panel determined that dentists and dental personnel had not begun any procedures when Er'mias suffered a medical emergency. Other licensed medical providers handled anesthesia and sedation services.
"The Investigative Panel of the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners has concluded its investigation into the events of July 17, 2025, at the Valleygate Dental Surgery
