ATHENS, Ga. —
Never slipping behind, No. 17 Alabama edged out No. 5 Georgia 24-21 on Saturday night , snapping the Bulldogs’ 33-game home winning streak in the teams' first matchup in Athens in a decade.
The win continued a major rebound for the now 3-1 Tide, having won three straight since a devastating loss to FSU on the road to start the season .
“It’s another step in the right direction for our team,” coach Kalen DeBoer said. “They’re already talking, you know, they’re not done with their improvement, and we’ve been really focusing on that ... not getting caught up in anything else other than what we could control. And I’m super proud of them for that.”
