LAVA HOT SPRINGS — The community in Lava Hot Springs is set to celebrate German heritage this weekend with its annual Oktoberfest event.

Steve Hooper, one of the organizers of the event, said Oktoberfest will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, Oct. 4. It will be held at East Park and West Park on East Third Street.
