Parents concerned after they say their children were fed by a stranger through a school fence during recess

IONE, Calif. (KMAX/KOVR) – Parents in a California community are concerned after they said their children were given food by a stranger through a fence at school.

An unidentified father of one of the students said his daughter is now afraid to go back to school after a man reportedly fed the kids grapes through the fence during recess.

“She didn’t want to go to school the next day after it happened,” he said. “She didn’t want to go to school for the week, actually. She didn’t want another strange man walking up.”

The mother of another of the children said her daughter was one of the children who ate the grapes from the man. She said she is now keeping an eye out around town for the truck she said the man was driving.

She said she is concerned now due to the worry her daughter feels.
