Newly released bodycam footage shows an agent who appears to act on instructions from the U.S. Deputy Attorney General to arrest Newark Mayor Ras Baraka.

That evidence is now at the center of Congresswoman LaMonica McIver’s bid to toss federal assault charges.

In an Aug. 15 motion filed in U.S. District Court in Newark, McIver’s attorneys argue the indictment, which accuses her of assaulting and impeding federal officers , criminalizes conduct that occurred while she was performing official legislative duties.

The body-worn camera footage cited in her filings was made public by the U.S. District Court for New Jersey on Sept. 29.
