STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Colin Jost has worked alongside hundreds of celebrities during his two decades at “Saturday Night Live,” but only one ever left him starstruck enough to ask for an autograph: Eli Manning.
The Grymes Hill native admitted that the former Giants quarterback was the only host he couldn’t resist asking for a signature.
“I’ve been writing on SNL for 20 years, and the only host I’ve ever asked for their autograph was Eli,” Jost said last week at the Ryder Cup , where he was on hand to co-host a pregame show for T-Mobile. “[He’s] the only one I’ve asked because I’m such a Giants fan.”
Manning, who hosted “SNL” back in 2012, signed a cheeky promo photo for Jost that still makes him laugh — the quarterback sprawled out on a bed of footballs, hands folded behind his head.
